• I have a variable product, and a bulk discount of $3 for 3 or more items.

When 3 items of the same variation are chosen, the discount applies correctly, whether or not I check “Treat product variations separately” on the settings page.

However, if I select different variations (leaving “Treat product variations separately”, a discount of $3 applies to EACH variation.

What I need is for the discount to apply to the whole cart, regardless of the combination of variations.

Has anyone encountered this problem before, or found a solution?

    Sorry, I meant to write:

…(leaving “Treat product variations separately” unchecked)

    @patkirts – any feedback on a solution?

I am having the same problem – This is a significant issue with this plugin, which will allow any customer buying a product with variations to reap massive unexpected discounts.

Any timeline on correcting this? Any update at all would be appreciated.

The answer is there by @patkirts

Go to the woocommerce settings page then Bulk Discount Tab and uncheck the checkbox that reads “You need to have this option unchecked to apply discounts to variations by shared quantity.”

I’m having the same issue. I have the checkbox unchecked in the Woocommerce Settings that you mention above. I’ve turned it on and off and still doesn’t work for a combination of product variables. (i.e. 3 green, 2 blue, etc)

This kind of pricing (ex. 1 for $5 and 3 for $12) seems super basic and I’m surprised at how difficult it is to achieve in WooCommerce.

Anyone else have a solution that works?

    Hi,

I just tried it again and seems to be working ok for me, are you using any caching plugin ?
And what versions of WordPress and Woocommerce are you using ?

    Hi RenzoF,

I came across this situation as well when I wanted to apply % Discount to two (or more) different product from different variations.

    For example:

1 product of specific type and 1 product of other type, combined will be two in a cart for which I want to give a 10% discount. Although there are 2 of them in a cart the discount applied ONLY when an individual product quantity increased to 2 (for a single product) where I actually wanted the discount to count for all summed up quantity ??

I use latest WordPress as of today: 4.1.1
    Woocommerce: 2.3.7
    WooCommerce Bulk Discount: 2.3.1

I have “Treat product variations separately” – Unchecked
    Variations set: Quantity (min.)1
    Discount (%): 10

    Kind Regards,
    Mykhailo

    we got exactly same problem.

    Hi

Ok here is a screen capture of the discount

The discount apply to 2 or more.

This is variant of the same product.

When you say a product of type one and another of type 2, this is using the woocommerce product variant functionality right?

So from your admin page you product looks something like this?

Just trying to workout if we are talking about the same ??
