Bulk deleting variations

Hi. I have followed the video tab Variations Advanced Bulk Operations to delete variations but it doesn’t delete them. I have filter by ID, selected all variations and then in the Advanced Variations editor I have added 2 attributes and a value for each, the message in read said it will delete matching variations for 72 items filtered but after completing the process all the variations are still there. I’m using the free version. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.
