Bulk change difference between “Rename” and “Rename and Retitle”

    Hi,

    What is the difference between selecting “Rename” and “Rename and Retitle”?

    I imagine, but want to confirm: for example, if the filename is “IMG_123.jpg” and the title is “Company Service”, and I want to change the filename to “company-service.jpg” I should use the “Rename” option so that the title “Company Service” stays the same?

    And, if an image doesn’t have a title? If I select “Rename and Retitle” wold the title then become “company-service”? (lower case and with the dash?)

    Hi @heatherbodlak,
    You’re right: the “rename” action changes only the filename, while the “rename and retitle” action changes both filename and title.

    If you enable the option “sanitize filenames” and set the new name to “Company Service”, Phonenix Media Rename will set the title to “Company Service” and the filename to “company-service”.
