Bulk Apply Featured Image Caption

There isn’t currently any functionality to do bulk featured image captions. Since the most typical use case of the featured image is to set one specific to each post based on its content, bulk setting isn’t something I’d considered. I’ll keep it in mind, but I don’t think I’m going to put it on the roadmap at this point – at least not until a few other features are completed.

Understood. On a related note, could the caption be added dynamically as certain posts are created? Again, the scenario is a lot of posts having identical captions. Thanks again.

I’m planning in a future release to add support for copying the selected image’s saved caption data to the plugin’s meta box, which should speed up that process.

As far as having it save default caption information, that would only make sense if a default image was set as well, which means the plugin then has to be able to set the featured image for the post. That’s a lot of additional code that has to be added to support an edge use case.

You’re the first person to raise this idea, so I’ll keep it in mind, but there are other features and improvements that are higher priority for now.
