    Hi there,

Thanks for what looks to be a super cool and useful plugin.

I’ve begun working on 2 sites with hundreds of WooCommerce products, whose images are pretty poorly optimized. I haven’t been able to figure out the taxonomy correctly I guess, and so I’ve been unable to adjust their title or alt tags in bulk, which is my goal. (The Media Assistant seems very intuitive, I know how to edit the tags in bulk, I just can’t seem to figure out what terms to use in order to pull data from the individual product pages.)

Ideally I’d love to be able to use the following pieces of content in my tags:
Product name, product category, Product SKU,

If you could help me figure this out, that would be fantastic!

Thank you for your kind words and for your question.

MLA does not provide direct support for accessing the WooCommerce database fields, but I have developed an example plugin in response to earlier support topics:

How to remove product image from gallery?

Remove first image in all product galleries

set the product category as alt and title tag for all images

In particular, the last of those topics seems similar to what you need.

You can find the current version of the example plugin, woofixit.php.txt, in the /media-library-assistant/examples/` directory. If you have some PHP skills it should be easy to adapt the example to your application. If not, I can give you more specific help.

I am working on a new version of the example with more flexible features. If you send me your contact information I can work with you offline on those improvements. You can use the Contact Us page at our web site:

Thanks for your interest in the plugin. Please get in touch if you think I can help.

Thanks for the response David! I’ll take a look at your suggestions and will hopefully be able to figure it out.

It has been two months since the last post in this topic. I hope the suggestions I gave in my earlier post proved helpful.

I am marking this topic resolved, but please update it if you have any other problems or questions regarding the combination of MLA and WooCommerce. Thanks again for your interest in the plugin.
