• I’m building a site to sell workstations. I need some ecommerce solution but most of them are about hundreds or thousands of single items. What I sell is less than 5 models of computers and a few peripherals, but the machines are built to order and the user must be able select the components inside the chosen model, from a database of each type (processor, memory, graphics, disks, etc.). That’s what I call a “configurator”, and I’m having a hard time finding one for any CMS or ecommerce solution.

Is there any plugin out there for WordPress that would allow me to do this?

    Thanks for any help.

  • Maybe you will find one here:

If none suits your needs, perhaps you may either make a Google search or get your own custom plugin written.

I’ve been there and of course did several Google searches before coming here. I opened this thread hoping that someone would save me from combing through 486 plugins…

Writing one myself is out of the question. The reason I’ve chosen WordPress is the fact that most of the “foundation” work is done, so I can concentrate on layout, design, etc.

Hey dude, did you ever find something with regards to this? I’m also interested and have been searching for quite some time to no avail, let me know when you can,

    Thanks,
