Built-in thumbnails via shortcode

    Hi Hector

    I’ve recently switched from using the widget to using shortcode. In the widget I could set a pre-defined thumbnail to use. Is this also possible in the shortcode? I tried setting the height and width matching my pre-generated thumbnails but the plugin generated its own, rather than using the pre-existing ones

    Is there a tag in the shortcode, or a filter I can add to specify which thumbnails to use?

    Hey Jon!

    There’s no direct way to do this via parameters (someone else long ago also asked about this and I totally forgot about it). Fortunately though “there’s more than one way to skin a cat”: use stock thumbnails with the [wpp] shortcode.

    Thanks Hector, that’s done the trick.

    to clarify – for anyone else finding this thread… (1) I used the code from the thread you linked and pasted it into my functions.php. (2) I changed post-thumbnail to the name of my custom-thumbnail size created by my theme. (3) And then I edited my shortcode to include the post_html=” section and in there I used {stock_thumb} instead of {thumb}

    I’m looking for this problem and saw this post. I hope future versions can solve this small problem.
