Built in lightbox shows under FooBox lighbox

    Your support notes describe the problem of a common issue when a theme has a
    built-in lightbox and it shows under FooBox lightbox – essentially the lightbox pops up but disappears leaving another version underneath it in full screen view and no way to get back to the gallery – you note there is a SETTING to disable hard coded lightboxes …but you don’t indicate where to find the setting – could you point me to it? THX!

    Apologies for the delayed response.

    We have additional settings in the Pro version of FooBox to try and dequeue / deactivate other lightboxes, but not in the free version of FooBox. .

    What you can do is check your theme settings theme. Most themes have an option to disable the built in lightbox.

    Which theme are you using?

    Good to know because we’ve have several other sites with the same double light box issue.

    The theme we’re using for this site is a customized version of Scribbler by Select Themes – I’ve looked for a way to turn off the lightbox w/in the theme settings and there isn’t one that I can see.

    Hi @orbitd

    I had a look at your site, and there is code in the theme, that is taking over all anchor clicks for smooth page page transitions.

    You could also ask the theme developers to build in a check for certain elements.

    Alternatively, if you can in the theme settings, try to disable smooth-page-transitions. It is currently set to fadeout. That will stop the images from being opened directly.
