Built in gallery? OR best gallery plugin?

My client wants to use the Snapshot theme. I almost assumed that a gallery would be built in to the theme, but haven’t found it yet. Is there a gallery built in to the theme? If not, is there a gallery plugin most recommended? I’m inclined to use NextGen Gallery but I’ve seen some conflicts with other themes. Thanks for any advice and help.
