Built-in gallery is broken

  • The so-called galleries you can insert in posts are completely useless, firstly the thumbnails don’t even link to the original images, and the borders look totally messed up.

    (This is the built-in gallery/image feature in the latest WordPress version by the way.)

    Can anyone help?

  • Hi Rain22, as you can imagine this feature has been build in because it is completely useless. It has just been offered to trick users into using it. But help is near: Just do not use that feature.

    In case you like to get it to work, please get a visually pleasing theme first that will display the borders the way you like it to be displayed. To learn about themes, you find a lot of stuff here: FAQ Layout and Design.

    For help with the technical feature of the gallery shortcode, please search the support forums first.
