Building WP in subdirectory – question about internal links
-
I’m transition an old site to wordpress, and in order to keep the old site live while I build the wordpress site, I installed wordpress in a subdirectory and then plan to transition using these instructions:
So right now, all of the wordpress pages are of the form:
site.org/wordpress/…
but after the transition, they will be:
site.org/…
When I make a link to another page within the site within wordpress (while I’m building the site, before I’ve made the transition), I believe it should take the form
site.org/page
and not
site.org/wordpress/page
That is, the link should be to the URL *as it will be* after I’ve followed the instructions at the link above, not *as it is* while I’m building the site. Is this correct?
