    Some help please.

I’d like to start developing a new WordPress website but don’t have the domain sorted yet (waiting on other decisions to be made).

Can I set up a staging space on one of my other live domains I have (as a sub domain of that site) and then when I’ve finished building it and have got the new domain sorted then migrate it from the sub domain of my other site to the new domain?

Or is there a better way of doing this (I’d like to be able to share the development site with one other person as well – just as a viewer not a developer).

    Thanks

You can install wordpress zip on folder on your live domain which will act as subdomain, setup wordpress over there. Once you’re done with development, copy the files and db from subdomain and migrate on other server where you want to host it.

If you want to build a website but do not yet have a domain name, you can still develop your website locally on your computer or on a development server using a local IP address. This will allow you to create and test your website before purchasing a domain and publishing it on the internet.

Once you have developed your website, you can purchase a domain name from a domain registrar and then host your website on a web hosting service. You can then connect your domain to your web hosting service by updating your domain’s DNS settings.

Keep in mind that without a domain, your website will not be publicly accessible on the internet, so it is important to purchase a domain and hosting service when you are ready to launch your website.
