Building a better idiot

  • They say when you build something idiot proof, they’ll just make a better idiot. And here I am.

    After three days, the 5 Minute Install was completed for me by the fantastic Podz. Now that I am able to log in as the admin, there is the welcome post and comment and a new about us page that I created to check things out.

    When I go to the root diretory, which is correctly set up, there is nothing there. https://x.babygotbooks.com

  • not sure what ‘there is nothing there’ means. i can see a newly installed WP using the default template. at the root of babygotbooks.com i see, what i imagine is your old site there…with it’s content.

    There is – I checked that ??

    Clear your browser cache and cookies, and it should show up.
    Try pressing ctrl-f5 too

    OK, the old ctrl-f5 worked like a charm. Thanks again, Podz. I am so frustrated. Despite the evidence to the contrary, I’m not an idiot. However, everything with WP so far has been a painful, uphill battle.

    I think that I am going to go enjoy the beautiful day here now. I’ll be back with more stupid questions soon.
