Hi, I’m having a bit of trouble getting my index built. I’m using WordPress 4.0 with a premium theme called Avada. We are using W3 Total Cache on the site as well. Not sure if those things come into play.

    The site is TonerEmporium.com.

We have information in the WooCommerce “attributes” section that we are trying to make searchable. Particularly names of printers that these toner cartridges are compatible with.

Each time I click the button labeled “Build the index” I am taken to a blank page with only a title at the top that reads “Relevanssi Search Options”.

I went through some other support threads and saw you asked for error log information, so I’m hoping the following is helpful.

mod_fcgid: stderr: PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function get_cart() on a non-object in /home/httpd/vhosts/toneremporium.com/httpdocs/wp-content/themes/Avada/framework/woo-config.php on line 425, referer: https://toneremporium.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=relevanssi/relevanssi.php

I tried several times today and saw the same error listed several times today in the error log, so I’m guessing that’s the issue.

Do you have any recommendations on what I can do to fix this? It looks like it may be a theme issue, but any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

Try disabling shortcode expension in Relevanssi settings. Are you using the “product_categories” shortcode on your site?

    Hi Mikko,

Thanks so much! That worked and I was able to get things indexed, but now I’ve run into another issue. I still can’t manage to get the WooCommerce product attributes section to be indexed.

I’m testing it with this product: https://toneremporium.com/cartridges/brother/TN-450. If you look at the Additional Information section for this cartridge you’ll see one of the printers is listed as “MFC7360”.

The problem is that when I search “MFC7360” this cartridge doesn’t appear in the results. Instead I get a message that says “No products were found matching your selection.”.

I’ve tried changing up a bunch of options, but can’t find the right combination I guess. Any ideas on what I should try to fix it?

I’m not sure where the product attributes are stored. You need to have Relevanssi index them, but to do that, you need to know where they are stored. If they are in custom fields, setting the Relevanssi custom field setting to “all” should make the attributes available after you rebuild the index.

Thanks for posting up about this, I had the same problem. After disabling shortcode expansion I could get the plugin to fully index the site.

Is this something that will be fixed in the plugin? I’ve also got the Woocommerce plugin installed.

    It works beautifully!

Not sure why I was doing this, but I was entering

‘all’ instead of all in that field and that’s what was messing things up.

    Thanks Mikko!

Wasca, if the problem is caused by the product_categories shortcode, that will be fixed in the next version of Relevanssi (and is already fixed in the current version of Relevanssi Premium).

Thanks for the update Mikko that what was causing the issue.
