  • Same here, error message “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”

    when

    – Changed to other option tab
    – Click to Flush Cache Now

    Regards

I’m getting this too. I only realized it cause saw my testimonials looked funky and not the style I designed.

I tried to use WP Rollback but they only have way old versions.

Yes – I’m also getting this and have been since at least the last Gutenberg/WP update a couple of weeks ago.

I’m getting this as well, on multiple different sites I’m working on. I’m using the classic editor plugin so I’m not sure if the issue is with Guutenburg or another part of the WordPress core.

I’m also finding the shortcode builder isn’t working, the page loads but none of the form objects respond to commands. Clicking does nothing at all and no shortcodes are generated.

I’ve noticed that if you select, say, Display Settings under the Easy Testimonials admin menu the correct page is displayed OK, but if you click on the ‘Display’ tab you get “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page”. This is so obvious that I’m surprised the developers haven’t noticed and fixed it long ago (though of course, it may be a side effect of a recent change to WordPress core).

I’m getting this as well. I bought an API key and it appears to register but no Pro functions are available. I’ve written to the vendor three or four times on their website over the last month and have not gotten any response at all. I’m asking for a refund. This is BS.

(@fbc21ca Thanks for sharing this with us. I’d suspected, given the dev’s lack of activity they may have abandoned this plugin, even for their paid customers, but your confirmation is very helpful.

If getting a hold of them to get a refund gives you no more success then getting tech support, I’d recommend you work with your payment processor, be it your credit card provider, or PayPal or whatever you used, to get a chargeback on your purchase. The fact that they have completely and utterly failed to deliver your purchase, as long as you can produce the receipts, or they fail to counter your claim, should be sufficient to get your money back.

    This is terrible
Just brought the upgrade, no support, no communication
How can WordPress allow this plugin to continue
Nothing left to do but get a refund through my bank!!!

    Hello –

The Permissions Denied error was occurring when trying to navigate the Settings using the on-screen tabs across the top of the pages.

The links in the sidebar were always working, however.

The cause of this issue (Permissions Denied when attempting to load certain Settings pages) has been identified and patched in version 3.6.1, which will be released soon.

The other issues in this thread, regarding Pro activation problems are unrelated and will be handled through a different support channel, per www.remarpro.com guidelines.

Thanks for letting us know. I’ve used this plugin not only on my own company’s website, but a number of my clients’ as well, and was concerned it may have been abandoned and I’d have to go through dozens of websites changing everyone’s testimonials to a different plugin.

Hopefully this patch means that mountain of work won’t be needed now.
