Bugs in the plugin due to events in Blog loop?
-
I have used the plugin for some months now, and have made several events during that time. Now I activated the “event ion Blog loop” option and found the following:
1. When the function is activated, all your events come on top the blog posts, even if they are passed the event day. And they are ordered due to event date, not publish date
2. Several of the events shows up twice, not after each other, but after 6-7 events, it starts over again.
3. When I published a new blog post, it didnt get on top. The events that had events date that werent passed yet, was still on top. First when I changed the dates on these events to be before my last post, my newest blog post was on top
I have tested this both with the event template and the theme template and also changed the theme to 2015 and 2016. It’s the same problem with them all. I used infinity scrolling by jetpack in these tests.
It also turns out that the number I have in my setting of how many blog posts showing up pr page overwrite the number of events pr page. This influence the “next event” on list function. If you have 3 blog posts as setting, and 5 events as setting, you first get the 3 first events, then when you click on “next events” you get from nr 6. Event nr 4 and 5 are skipped. This is maybe not something your plugin can deal with, but it is okay to know about.
Hope someone will see this as interesting enough to reply ??
Thanks in advance.
