    Q. how to set backorder properly?

    Info: I have it activated and tried both “allow” & “allow and notify customer”. However, it only results in either
    1) only one order can be made and the stock level remains at zero, and I tried deleting from the shopping cart which it wont disappear. This seems to be glitched.
    2) it simply says “this item cannot be purchase”

    Care to send through a link to a product that is currently not in stock but available for back order so I can try take a closer look?

    Have you selected the Manage Stock checkbox? You need it to display that Backorders are allowed on the product, more info can be found in this documentation (Section13)

    Hi Trav,

    Thanks for your reply. I have ticked the manage stock checkbox and I have basically tried all the possible combination available and it wont work.

    Do you have an email that I can send you my site? It is still being developed at the moment.
