Does not work at all for me since latest version of wordpress 5.1, Elementor 2.4.7 and ACF 5.7.12

If I set hide section if field x is empty it hide it even if the field is not empty. The only way it works for me is if I create an extra condition in ACF e.g true/false and trigger display or hide based on 1/0. But dynamic conditions do not listen to a normal text field if it’s empty or not empty.

Any known bug? Maybe something changed lately in WP, Elementor or ACF that you have not seen from other customers yet?

    Hello @alriksson,

we tested the plugin on a new WordPress installation (WordPress 5.1, Elementor 2.5.4, Elementor Pro 2.4.7 and ACF 5.7.12).

And it works for us with a simple textfield from ACF.

Do you maybe get any other Plugins installed?

What exactly did you test? For me it does not work to use a another meta field in ACF PRO to use condition logics in dynamic conditions. Only work to create a true/false to solve it.

hmm no, do you use placeholder? Maybe your plugin thinks placeholder is filled content and not empty?

    Hello @alriksson,

we have testet with ACF 5.7.12 and with ACF PRO 5.7.13.
We have set up placeholders, prefix, suffix and testet with all fields (like text-field, numbers, email, and so on).
Currently we can′t reproduce your issue.

But we will release a new version soon (possibly today). Possibly it will fix your issue. If not, it will have a debug-mode, which can help to find out what the problem is.

Hmm it sounds strange, but lets hope the update sort it, hope to see some other new cool features realsed ?? ??If it does not solve the issue I might be able to give you access and check for yourself on my platform, but would appreciate a email to send temporary access.

    Hello @alriksson

the new version is now released.
If it does not solve your issue, just activate debug-mode and copy&paste the debug-output. Than we can have a look.
If necessary, we will give you an e-mail address and take a closer look.

The new debug is superb! But using other conditions now to ACF. But I find that your plugin listen to the label and not value, how come?

And is it possible to make to enable the conditions in the page builder. at least when I hide panel so I can see it works and hide other elements. Would work with better UI for me when I create templates.

    Hello,

what other conditions did you mean?

Enabling conditons in the page builder is currently not implemented. But we will have a look and check how to implement this feature.

Thats what I mean so when I press preview or cmd + p. I see the frontend as a user. But when editing I should see all fields so I know what to to hide and show etc. But it would be nice to just click cmd + p in elementor instead of save and load the frontend page to see what displays or not. Just better UI and workflow for me as a user.

Otherwise I love it! Great plugin and the new debug feature is magic! ??

    Hello,

yes we have seen your post. It is really a good idea. But it is not so easy to implement, so we need some time to explore the possibilities.
