It’s typical this error in this plugin.

ERROR: This Pretty Link Slug is already taken. Check to make sure it isn’t being used by another pretty link, post, page, category or tag slug. If none of these are true then check to see that this slug isn’t the name of a file in the root folder of your wordpress install.

galverito86 … this is not a bug. Pretty Link has to determine if there are potential conflicts before using a slug. If you can submit a request to https://prettylinkpro.com/contact we’d be happy to look at why this is happening in your specific case.

    Hello,
I appreciate the effort to create the plugin, but it does not work at the moment.
I have the plugin installed for about 4 years. And this has happened more often. That is, it is not the first time that this same error arises.
About a year ago, this error message was corrected with an update. But again the error has reappeared.
In my website there is no directory “visit” anywhere, however when creating the url with the plugin such that https://www.domain.com/visit/redirecction says that if it exists …
I am waiting for you to review the plugin, because with the latest updates you must have some error that causes this conflict.
    Thank you. regards

If anything the new updates have improved the existing slug checking. Have you submitted a request so our support team can help you figure out what is causing the issue on your specific site?

    Thanks, Blair
