• Not compatible with visual editor.
Widgets using page builder cause all sorts of incredibly difficult-to-diagnose errors, especially after migrations.

    Needs a lot of work.

    Hi wordcrunch

We would have really appreciated a support thread before going to review.

Are you using the Embed Plus Plugin for YouTube? If you’re encountering broken Visual Editor Widget, it’s possible there is a conflict with Embed Plus.

I’m sure we could have resolved the issues you’re facing.

    Thanks

It isn’t compatible with the visual editor under Appearance -> Customize; making editors aware of this is a significant impediment to smooth and issue-free operation, and when it fails it can fail catastrophically (irretrievable loss of content). These are major core issues that a support thread is not going to address.

The issues exist in the absence of any other plugins.

But fix them and I’ll be happy to change the review

I’m not quite following your request. You can use the SiteOrigin Layout Builder Widget in theme widget areas in the Customizer. Beyond that, I’m not aware of any Page Builder that offers normal operations in conjunction with the Customizer preview.

Looking at the other reviews you’ve added today, it sounds like you’ve encountered a migration issue. Page Builder data is serialized; that’s the most likely complication. As long as the migration method supports serialization, there won’t be a data issue.

We’d be happy to assist further with any migration issues you’ve encountered. A support thread would be the best place for that.

    Thanks

    Andrew
