• Was using woochimp before.

I switched thinking the OFFICIAL version MUST be better – especially with the abandoned cart feature.

    Wrong.

Installation went fine. Orders and customers all synced up properly. Everything looked good!

We had a lot of sales the weekend after installation. NONE of the over 100 orders were logged/synced by Mailchimp’s plugin. This had implications for many orders that were supposed to have follow up email campaigns sent.

Resync? No change. The plugin could tell there were a lot of orders to sync, but they would not sync.

Deactivated, uninstalled, reinstalled, activated. Resync. Resync got stuck at around 800 orders.

Troubleshooting advice given: hire a developer to help you figure out which of your themes or plugins is breaking the Mailchimp for Woocommerce plugin because it’s not the fault of the plugin…

I would strongly advise against anyone considering using this plugin until they get this buggy software fixed. I thought the other complaints were because people didn’t have the right PHP version, but that was not the case here. This software just doesn’t work well on our site.

I’ve switched back to WooChimp. I’m not sure that the over 100 orders that happened while woochimp was deactivated will sync, but I do know for certain that new orders are syncing properly again to the Mailchimp ecommerce data.

  • Hey @wigwam22

Thanks for sharing your feedback. I’m sorry to hear about these issues you’ve encountered. I wanted to chime in and see if I could offer any further troubleshooting insights or gather more information to pass back to our development team as feedback.

Could you share with me the WooCommerce System Status Report?

Additionally, if you’re able to test the plugin again, could you enable the Debug logging under the “Logs” tab and share any logging that crops up?

While plugin conflicts are a reality of working in WordPress, this doesn’t sound ideal and I’d like to do what I can to help improve things here for you. If you have any time in the future to test things a bit further, I would be glad to collect that feedback.

    Thanks,
    Malachite
