I just installed WP-Cache 2.0 on my WP 2.0.2. If the page is not cached already, it is sending a 0 byte file instead of the HTML.

Here‘s the link to my site. I set the expire time to 5 seconds so you can actually see what I’m talking about.

    How can I fix this?

  • Could be another plugin interfering with WP-Cache. Sounds like when the page is generating normally, but WP-Cache is hooked around it, the page output isn’t being sent. I’ve never heard of WP-Cache having such an issue, but you never know. Could be something particular about your config.

Well, it looks like it’s a problem with Ultimate Tag Warrior (3.1) interacting w/ WP-Cache (2.0.17). It’s the only other plugin I have on right now, and when I disable it I get 0 byte pages even when I hit reload.

What’s really strange about it is that I’ve seen other blogs using the exact same plugins and they’re not having any problems. I’m switching from PHP 5.1.2 to 4.4.2 to see if that fixes the problem, but it’s basically a shot in the dark…

The shot in the dark worked! I switched to PHP 4.4.2 and now everything works perfectly.

well that’s good to know! so, wp-cache was failing in all cases? just sometimes worked with UTW? or it failed when UTW was >enabled<, and worked when disabled?

I had the same problem. It has to do with a Windows based installation..

I followed the instructions here and it’s 100% working with UTW
