Bug with woocommerce layered nav/filters
-
Hello, I have come across a really strange and relatively obscure bug that is hard to spot but likely to affect most users.
Note: this seems to only happen when viewed on a mobile device, I have tested on android and iOS in Chrome FF and Safari. All seem to have the issue.
If you use Woocommerce and are on a product archive page, for example /shop/, if you then use a filter (plugin) or Woo’s layered nav product filters (to select a colour or other attribute), then click on a product, you go to the product page. However, if you then click the browser back button to return to the archive, the page then reloads again and you return to the product page you were just viewing. If you then click the back button (again), it lets you return to the archive page without the refresh. I have tested this with other plugins off and the only thing that fixes it is disabling GTM4WP. I cannot see a setting within the plugin that when toggled off fixes it.
Have you got any ideas why this might be happening? We have had a number of reports from our customers that are getting quite frustrated by it when browsing products via archive pages.
Many thanks
