• My company runs a blog (microgridnews.com) which is an important channel between us, our clients and our user community. Unfortunately, a bug recently appeared (I’m not sure of the exact date) that is preventing the correct author(s) to show up on a post, and instead is publishing the entry author. This is disappointing to our users who contribute an article about their company but then do not see their author names appearing.

I have reviewed the article “Incorporate Co-Authors Plus template tags into your theme” but it is not sufficient to guide me in how to modify the theme that I am using, WP-Prosperity. I am the developer at my company who is expected to solve this kind of problem, so it would be very helpful if I could get some guidance from this forum on how to do this. I am an experienced PHP devloper, but am not that knowledgeable about WordPress (yet).

If one of the more experienced users in the Co-Authors Plus community could take a look at the code for this theme, and enhance the above article, it would quite helpful.

    Thanks,
    Rick Casey

Slight correction: I think the bug was caused by a WordPress upgrade, likely to 4.6, around 9/7/16, rather than the WP-Prosperity theme. So I am considering a roll-back to WP 5.4.5, the last one before the upgrade to 4.6, and see if that fixes the problem.

Did rolling back fix your problem?
