Bug with Static Home page

  • Good morning all,
    I have created a site in wordpress, and while doing that, I changed the home page to a temp “coming soon” page. And yesterday I was ready to push everything live, so I went to change my Static Home page… and nothing happens. I don’t know how.. but my Coming soon page is still showing when it should not.

    I went to the Theme, Customization, set home page..
    Then I also checked in Settings > Reading > and chose the correct Home page.

    As I am using the Elementor page builder, I checked that I didn’t activate accidently the maintenance mode.. which I did not use.

    I have spent hours, going through things, deactivating some plugins, setting other pages as home, etc.. but nothing seems to be working. : /

    Does someone have an idea?
    If needed I can provide tempadmin access.

    Please do not share any admin access on this forum

    does your host provide coming soon page?
    is there any caching from your webhosting that needs to be flushed?
    —
    have you tried
    install health check plugin which can be used in troubleshooting mode to deactivate all plugins and theme
    might help narrow down the source of the issue

    Hi Lisa,
    Thank you for your response.
    I checked with my webhosting and all is good there.
    I’ve emptied the cache.. no changes there too.
    As for your health-check plugin.. I don’t feel so comfortable using that plugin, as I’ve heard good and bad things about it.. that it could mess the site, etc..

    Now.. activating another theme.. again, a bit afraid I will loose certain parameters. : /

    Not sure what to do….
