• Hello.
    I want to add an event to my Google Calendar, and when I press ‘Add to Button’, the content is garbled.

    But not all events are garbled.
    I don’t know the rules of garbled characters, but the fact that it is Japanese (multi-byte language) may be one of the causes.

    Could you please tell me how to deal with this problem?
    Thanks.

    Hi @imanakame

    Thanks for reaching out.

    There could be a plugin/theme conflict on your end. Could you try running a conflict test? I suggest conducting these tests on a Staging Server.

    If that doesn’t help, could you provide the version of the following and the URL of your events page that has the issue? This will help me understand how your system is set up.

    • PHP
    • WordPress
    • The Events Calendar
    • Theme

    Hi @d0153

    thanks for your support!

    I tried the following conditions, but the situation did not change.
    – Changed the theme to twenty one.
    – All plugins are now deactive except for event calender.

    Also, I am using Japanese events.

    If it is not garbled, the following URL characters are passed to the URL parameter.
    details=test%E3%83%86%E3%82%B9%E3%83%88

    If there are garbled characters, the following URL characters are passed to the URL parameter.
    details=c%25E3%2582%25B9%25E3%2583%2588%25E3%2583%2586

    thank you.

    PHP: 8.0
    WordPress: 6.1.1(latest)
    The Events Calendar: 6.0.8(latest)
    Theme: cera

    Hi @imanakame

    Thanks for your response.

    I tried replicating the issue on my test site, but it’s working as expected.

    Could I ask for the direct URL of your event? I’d like to check it further on my end.
