Bug With Editing Matches

Took me a while to figure this one out, but I think that I have found a new bug in the software, or I am just doing something wrong that I do not understand. I am using 3.8.9 with WP4.0

I enter in my schedule for my league. Doesn’t matter if I just enter 1 week, 1 game, or the entire schedule. For this example I am just going to give 1 game.

I enter the game as
Nov 2, 2014 Match Day 1 Team A plays Team B on court A at 17:30. I update the matches, and it has been properly assigned to Match Day 1. I know this because I can look at the schedule on a webpage using the short codes, or I can edit my matches to show only matches for Match Day 1.

When I go into Edit Matches Match Day 1, I see the 1 game that I entered. However, one observation is that in this new edit window, there is no column for Match Day. It appears as though the space is there where teh drop down box should be, but there is no box.

So If I click teh edit button under teh match list, somehow the program loses track that the match was associated with Match Day 1. SO If I then edit Match Day 1, now there is no longer any Match Day 1 games. It shows up no the main list, simply as games that have no match day assigned to them at all.

The weird thing, is that in the situation above, if I dont Edit the match, rather just hit the Back Button in my browser, then the match day remains as Match Day 1.

Any ideas on what to do next to fix this issue?
