    Hi all,

I have defined a free course with lifter lms. Scenario is as followed:

A new student / unregistered student clicks on “Take this course” on the course page.
Then he is directed to the regsitration form to enter his name, adress, email, passwort etc.
After clickung on the “submit” button I would assume that he is directly directed to the first lesson of the selected course and that the course has automatically started.

In fact he is redirected to the course, but he has to click on “Take this course” again and after that on “Continue”. This is a little bit confusing. Is it posssible to bring the user directly to the first lesson of the course? So that it’s not necessary for him to click “Take this course” twice and afterwards “Continue”…

By the way the lifterLMS demo shows the same behavior.

    Kind regards
    Matthias

  • @mgriesde,

This is expected behavior. Not good behavior but expected.

We’ve received this feedback (criticism) before. Often with words like “it’s stupid” and “why would you build something so dumb”

So we rebuilt our checkout process to be faster, more user friendly, and, in short, less dumb.

With this comes a massive number of other changes. We deprecated a lot of functionality, fixed a lot of other issues, and changed the way a few templates function.

I’d urge you to upgrade to LifterLMS 3.0 but before doing so please familiarize yourself with what’s changed.

    Here’s a blog post: https://blog.lifterlms.com/get-ready-lifterlms-3-0/

    Here’s our upgrade guide: https://lifterlms.com/docs/upgrading-lifterlms-3-0

Any other questions please let me know,
