Bug Tools menu for Contributor roles

They shouldn’t even see the menu if they don’t have access.

This problem may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to deactivate all plugins and switch to the default Twenty Twenty-Two theme. If the problem goes away, re-activate them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to deactivate all plugins and change the theme for you while you’re still logged in without affecting normal visitors to your site.

OK. What roles other than Administrator and Site Moderator can visit the administration panel? (wp_admin)

I write this on empty test WP site. I has only one plugin – Ultimate Member

I see this problem in any default template.

Even the Subscriber role needs access so it can edit its profile, but in unmodified core, roles can’t see sections that they can’t access. A Subscriber role would only be able to see Users > Your Profile.

Ultimate Member is capable of modifying roles and capabilities, specifically how they interact with WordPress, so it sounds like that’s where the problem is coming from.

Does the problem go away when you deactivate it?

No it dosen’t . I turn off all plugins set default template Twenty Twenty and my user with role Contributor stell can see Tab Tools.
