Bug report with preg_match – email validation

Hi,
There is an issue with the latest version of PHP 5.6.9 and the preg_match.
I beliebe a bug fix to resolve this:

As resulted in this:
preg_match(): Compilation failed: internal error: previously-checked referenced subpattern not found at offset 728 in /var/www/XXXXX.com/wp-includes/class-phpmailer.php on line 879, referer: https://www.XXX.com/contact-us/
