• I have found unexpected behavior of WordPress 3.0. When using the Quick Edit option to edit a post, all custom fields on that posts are deleted. Does anyone encountered this and know how to solve this? Best regards,

How come nobody recognises this problem? I am clueless on how to solve this. I consider this a major bug or am I doing something wrong here? I just upgraded to 3.01

I’ve just tried this on one of my testbed sites on v3.1 and could not reproduce the problem you mention.

If you are certain that it is a bug, you should report it by the correct channels with details of the steps to reproduce it.

I’m actually having this same issue. If I edit the date or title of a custom post using Quick Edit, any preset custom taxonomies are removed. I’m not using any custom post type or taxonomy plugins, so I don’t think it’s a conflict.

    Any fixes?

Yep, also experiencing this issue on 3.0.3. When I use the quick edit to change the post category and save it deletes the custom field values in my post. Bug? Fix?

If you can replicate this using the current version of WordPress, the Twenty Ten theme and no plugins, please report it as a bug.
