Bug on creating new page

  • Hi there,

    I’ve just installed the Group Extras and I’m not able to create a new page for groups thru admin panel.

    When I click “new page” the browser just refresh the “all pages” section (from group extras) and print the following error:

    SyntaxError: missing } after property list[Learn More]edit.php:428:56

    I wasn’t getting this error before the groups extras installation.
    What do you think?

    I’m using:

    Buddypress 2.6.2
BuddyPress Groups Extras v3.6.9.1

    Hi @nando132016,

    I tried to replicate the issue, but I can’t.
    I don’t have edit.php file in a plugin, and no list-edit.php as well.

    Are you sure that this error is from BPGE plugin? Perhaps a conflict with some other plugin?
    Could you please try to deactivate plugins one by one (except BuddyPress and BPGE) to find the one, that causes the error?

    So, I deactivated all the plugins except buddypress and group extras. There’s no error on console anymore.

    However, the bug persists. When I click on “Create Page” on admin plugin the page just refresh and does not open the creating page and so on…

    What should I do?

    Which theme are you using? Can you replicate on any default theme: 2015 or 2016?
    Do you have anything in /mu-plugins/ folder? If yes, try to move it outside of this folder.
    Do you have /wp-content/plugins/bp-custom.php file? If yes, what is its content?

    I’m using the Buddyapp theme. I’ve already used Buddyapp + Group Extras and worked fine, but not this time.

    There’s not “mu-plugins” folder under wp-content.

    bp-custom, yes there’s is. It’s just enabling root profile slugs.

    BuddyApp is a premium theme, I can’t test the plugin against it. Unless you somehow provide me with the theme files (secretly, not sharing via public web).

    I’ve tested BPGE with the latest BuddyPress and default WordPress themes (2015/2016), everything works.

    Sorry, without the theme I can’t help at all.
