Bug: Not showing post excerpt

Running plugin version 1.9.9.2.
To replicate:
* Create new view
* leave default as post
* Sort by publish date descending
* display setting: grid
* items per row 3
* show title, show thumbnail, show content checked
* Under content: show excerpt
* SavePreview shows excerpt but actual blog archive page shows full content capped at default word limit.
Using Infinity Pro theme from Studio Press.

Creating a View (in CV Free version) will not help to modify the posts layout inactual blog archive page.
Yes, you are correct. You can do it with the Pro version. Here is how:
