i saw the fonts are not loading anymore
    my cache directory was /omgf/
i tried to download the fonts, and the only thing that shows inside /cache/omgf is updated fonts.css
    the fonts did not download

i tried to change directory name to /omgfonts/ and still the fonts do not download.

inside the /cache/.. directory i also have /cache/autoptimize and /cache/wpo-cache/ and i have updated files there no problems, and as i told you, indeed the fonts.css is working, so it seems downloading files to them, is what that is not working (it did work in previous versions of the plugin)

    * i have the same bug with caos, but i guess once you find why this bug happens you will fix in all the plugins

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi Daan,
I could really use your help on this
Are you familiar with such problem?

    Hi Udi!

Sorry, support is a bit of a mess momentarily. I became a father 7 weeks ago!

But, on the bright side, sleep deprivation is getting less little by little. ??

Did you check the permissions of the folder? Does OMGF throw any errors, about not being able to download/write/anything?

    Thread Starter saveatrain

    (@saveatrain)

you are not making me happrier – am about to become a father for 2 in 4 weeks (but we talked about it already, although surely its not making sleep deprivation any better ?? )

regarding the folder, where do you want me to look for errors? and i will check

although i told you, autoptimize and wpo-cache are writing no problem inside the cache directory.

    (@saveatrain)

    Hi Daan,
Do you have an idea how to resolve my sudden problem

    Thread Starter saveatrain

    (@saveatrain)

    Hi Daan,
I hope things are more calm at home ??
    – I just had my baby born 1 week ago.

can you please please please resolve WHY both OMGF and ANALYTICS plugin, don’t download files for me,
It is only with your plugins

wp-optimize and autoptimize download files without a problem
    – i think it could be related to the cdn, but its just a thinking

    Plugin Author DaanvandenBergh

    (@daanvandenbergh)

    Hi Udi,

Do you have any error logs that could provide a bit more insight into this? I can’t think of a reason why CAOS/OMGF wouldn’t download files.

    Thread Starter saveatrain

    (@saveatrain)

thats the thing, there is no php errors

and in the past version it did work, i think up to 3 it worked.

    (@daanvandenbergh)

Btw, Udi. I completely read past your message: CONGRATULATIONS WITH THE BIRTH OF YOUR BABY! Is it a boy/girl? We never gotten around to continuing that conversation.

Can you share a list of plugins you’re using? Anything specific about the environment you’re running it on?

    Thread Starter saveatrain

    (@saveatrain)

no worries buddy, its a girl with gases – no sleep as you well know it ??

    im running wordpress 5.3
    plugins list: https://docdro.id/H1cNcp5
see caos dir is empty and autoptimize updated yesterday: https://docdro.id/qVnEyTC
    – i just did another update analytics.js before going into the directory

    Thread Starter saveatrain

    (@saveatrain)

    just had a thought,
are you trying to use the computer cookies when it comes to any of these plugins? because we have varnish installed and that means we need to allow certain cookies to pass through the proxy.

    Plugin Author DaanvandenBergh

    (@daanvandenbergh)

No, no cookies are used. But Varnish might be in the way, anyway. It is a reverse proxy, so any request has to bounce off the server. I’m not sure, though. Is there anything in Varnish when the server requests an external file to be downloaded?

    Thread Starter saveatrain

    (@saveatrain)

so you saying wpoptimize and autoptimize take files from the local so this is why they manage to have the cache?
    – it could make sense in a way

HOWEVER caos is only suppose to download files, AND in the past even when i had varnish, it worked without a problem, somewhere in between version 3.0 -> 3.7 you changed something about how the googleanalytics.js is being downloaded.

    Plugin Author DaanvandenBergh

    (@daanvandenbergh)

    Hmmm, ok. Could be.

In the ‘old’ days I used PHP’s cURL function to download the files, but then WordPress told me I had to move to wp_remote_get(). And so I did.

I can’t revert that change, cause otherwise I risk the plugin being removed from this repository.

    Thread Starter saveatrain

    (@saveatrain)

    now its more understood

can you give me where i download the googleanalytics.js file and i will just download it manually and implement in the directory of caos?

    Plugin Author DaanvandenBergh

    (@daanvandenbergh)

    Sure: https://www.google-analytics.js/analytics.js

If you want to update it using a cron job, you can follow this guide.
