• Hi,

there seems to be a bug in your theme: no matter if i add a picture to the “featued image” or to the yoast seo facebook picture field on the page, there is still no og:image tag in the source of the homepage (starting page). this error is just on the homepage not on any other page/post/category

    have a look at https://www.meinluxus.eu/

if i add an image to yoast seo > social > facebook > picture this will be taken instead, but i want a special picture for the homepage, any hints on this?

  • We don’t display the featured image on the homepage which is probably the cause of this issue. You’ll need to add one manually I think.

Hmm, but the featured image for other pages isn’t displayed as well, still there is an og:image tag!?

I just checked, the featured image _is_ displayed on the homepage template. Sorry about the confusion there.

It is however displayed using the WordPress core function the_post_thumbnail(). The theme is not responsible for the output of the actual markup.

You’ll need to post on the plugin forum. It’s not really the responsibility of a theme to add these tags.

    Cheers
