[BUG] No Email Notifications for Blocked IPs Accessing a Banned URL
-
Hello
I’m using Wordfence plugin since a few months and its working great. But I have one major issue and complaint.
I have added many URLs to “Immediately block IPs that access these URLs” section and Wordfence properly bans IP addresses accessing those URLs.
But the problem is I don’t get any email notification of those bans.
The option “Alert when an IP address is blocked” is already enabled and Wordfence sends email notifications when it bans an IP address exceeding 404 not found URLs, exceeding maximum page views allowed, etc but surprisingly it doesn’t send email notifications for IP addresses accessing a banned URL.
Its very frustrating when a few IP addresses are banned by the plugin and we are not aware of it. We need to manually check Blocked IPs page frequently to see which IP addresses have been blocked accessing banned URLs.
It’s very annoying and impractical to check the blocked IPs page regularly to check whether any IP address has been blocked for accessing banned pages. The customers are not supposed to check the blocked IP addresses manually. We should receive email notifications if we have enabled the option for email alert.
So please add this feature to the plugin. Or provide a checkbox to enable/disable email notifications for accessing banned URLs.
Thank you.
