    In Plesk – Each subscription does not have access below the httpdocs folder. The full file path should not be used by jetpack. Jetpack shouldnt be using the full server path.

    Note I have temporarily removed Jetpack from this website to avoid the error.

    This is how subscription management works in Plesk and most other panels like CPanel.

    The logs show the following error (Note I have removed the actual directory for security reasons and replaced with XXXXXXX).

    AH01071: Got error ‘PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: call_user_func_array(): Argument #1 ($callback) must be a valid callback, function “_return_false” not found or invalid function name in /var/www/vhosts/XXXXXXXXX/httpdocs/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php:308\nStack trace:\n#0 /var/www/vhosts/XXXXXXXXX/httpdocs/wp-includes/plugin.php(205): WP_Hook->apply_filters()\n#1 /var/www/vhosts/XXXXXXXXX/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/jetpack_vendor/automattic/jetpack-jitm/src/class-jitm.php(95): apply_filters()\n#2 /var/www/vhosts/XXXXXXXXX/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/jetpack_vendor/automattic/jetpack-jitm/src/class-rest-api-endpoints.php(54): Automattic\Jetpack\JITMS\JITM->jitms_enabled()\n#3 /var/www/vhosts/XXXXXXXXX/httpdocs/wp-includes/rest-api/class-wp-rest-server.php(1181): Automattic\Jetpack\JITMS\Rest_Api_Endpoints::get_jitm_message()\n#4 /var/www/vhosts/XXXXXXXXX/httpdocs/wp-includes/rest-api/class-wp-rest-server.php(1028): WP_REST_Server->res…’, referer: https://www.XXXXXXXXX/wp-admin/plugins.php

    Hey there – we have users who use Jetpack on Plesk and cPanel and had never any issue. Could you please clarify some details so that we can help you:

    • What do you mean when you said “full file path should not be used by jetpack”?
    • Have you removed the Jetpack because of the PHP fatal error or because you saw full path in the PHP error?

    We are not clear about your issue and why you removed the Jetpack – please clarify us a little bit more to help us understand your issue.

    Hello @thomasjarvisdesign

    Do you have updates about that? We usually close inactive threads after one week of no activity, but we want to make sure we’re all set before marking it as solved. Thanks!

    Hi Joseph,

    Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I believe the issue is caused by some of the custom functions.php scripts I have running combined with security measures I have placed on the server. This is causing Plesk to show the error above which is a server security measure I have put in place.

    I am now removing Jetpack from most of my websites as I was only really using it for Brute Force Protection. I have other systems monitoring the end points (Mod Security and Fail2ban in Plesk) + additional restrictions from the WP Toolkit and some plugin based solutions that obscure the login screens.

    xml-rpc is totally disabled server wide now for example.

    Please mark this issue as resolved.
