    Hi,

I was having an issue with GeneratePress in their Elements area where users can make templates or loop templates. They have a feature that allows for determining where a template or hook can appear.

I discovered tha the “Legal Page Category Archive” seems to replace the “Post Category Archive” every time I would return to the template to make edits. I would have to resave the page with the “Post Category Archive” location every time I attempted an edit.

Once I deactivated WP Auto Terms, the problem discontinued. Since GeneratePress is popular, I thought I had better alert there is a conflict with the plugin.

@nseeger Thanks for submitting this report.

WP AutoTerms uses it’s own Legal Page Category Archive template which you can change simply by duplicating archive.php and renaming it as archive-wpautoterms_page.php. This allows you to have a different design for the legal pages.

If the issue is that GeneratePress “selects” the WP AutoTerms archive template instead of the theme’s archive template, we’d like to troubleshoot this in-depth. It may be a GeneratePress configuration issue, code issue or WP AutoTerms issue.

If you still use the plugin, please:

    1. Send us a bug report from WP AutoTerms > Help > Send us a message with the “Extended” option selected so that we can get the plugin versions you have to replicate this
    2. Screenshots from your website where the issue appears to properly pinpoint it.
