Bug: Iphone/Ipad users have to click twice on the pictures!

  • I have discovered a really annoying bug with the plugin that I really hope you can solve soon.

    The plugin works great when the website visitors are using PC/Android. But for Iphone/ipad user the plugin only works as supposed 70% of the times. In around 30% of the times the website visitiors will have to click TWICE on the pictures of the grid in order to go to the post. The bug is especially noticeable when you have bigger grid layouts like 2 x 4.

    The bug can even been seen on your own demo site for the plugin. Please solve this bug!

    Help to the developers; do the following with an Ipad or Iphone.

    1. Go to your own demo site.

    2. Scroll down and click on cake PICTURE in the bottom with the red text “Corporis urna orci”. Now you will notice that nothing happen! Click one more time and then it works and the post is showing.

    3. Go back to the first originally tab. Click on the red text “Demo of Content Views Pro” at the top of the page to reload the page. Now do step 2 again. Same problem!

    If it works with just one click, please do step 1-3 again, since the bug only appears around 30% of the times.

    Hello,
    Thank you for your detail report and instructions.

    We tested it more than 20 times on different Ipad and Iphone devices, and it worked with just one click.

    Does it happen to other posts when you tested on your device?
    If it is a bug, it should happen to any posts, not just the last post in the bottom of the page.

    And do you have enough pressure on your touch?

    And might you please test in another device?

    Ok, I went to an Iphone store today and tested to visit your demo site on some new Ipads. I can say it almost worked perfectly every time.

    But when I tested your demo site on an Iphone SE (which also is a quite new Iphone) it worked maybe 70 % of the times. Also, on my old Ipad running IOS 9.3.5 the problem exists.

    (When I did the test, I clicked on the penultimate image; and then next time (after having reloaded the page) on the very last one. And this, on repeat.)

    I am not sure, but maybe it is easier to discover the problem if you test to build a post grid of 2 x 4 and then randomly click on different pictures of the grid? Remember to reload the page every time.

    Thank you for your further report.

    We tested it with an older Iphone (7 plus) and it still works well.

    It looks like that there is insufficient touch area between your finger and screen (when you touch with only the top part of the finger).

    Might you try to touch your fingerprint part?
