bug in woocommerce effecting tax and shipping

    I posted about a shipping bug in woocommerce and ive now discovered it also effects sales tax.

    this has happened intermittently in 6 of my last 40 orders. as recently as 3 days ago, first incident was on 3-12-2022. no apparent patters in the customer data.

    My store is in florida and so sales shipped within florida must have sales tax added.

    also, my shipping should be $4 on every order, regardless of contents and several times no shipping was charged.

    furthermore, the two times a FLORIDA order had the shipping bug is ALSO had the tax bug (meaning the customer did not pay either). in no instance has there been tax charged properly but shipping error. this leads me to believe this is ONE bug effecting my shopping cart.

    i have simulated on multiple browsers and tried recreating this but cannot make it happen.

    I deactivated it, I dont see any new fatal logs since then. How long before a new fatal error log would be created after deactivation?

    Also, i see logs from PaypalExpress and when I look at the transactions on there that were bugged, in those logs the shipping and tax are both “0” for the bugged orders but the correct amounts for the other orders. i dont see any errors or differences between good and bad orders – only that the ship and tax numbers are simply “0” for some reason.

    i did what you suggested and have not heard back from support yet.

    also, since deactivationg that plugin I have no more fatal logs. however, i have also had no orders since March 29th so time will tell.

    Thanks, i am not very comfortable giving woo support admin access right now. since i deactivated that plugin i have had 3 orders and all were processed correctly. if i get to 20 i will consider it fixed. then reinstate my more complex shipping and see what happens.

    Quick update, I am 99% sure i have this fixed and the issue (if i am right) is definitely a problem with woocommerce. Is there someone i should email or should i write it all out here? I am not a coder but i can easily explain what i have discovered in laymans terms.

    As I said, if i am right this issue was not my doing, something in wc that can easily be fixed (i hope).
