Bug in picture uploading??

  • Hello,

    There is a bug in the upload picture system. The system uploads picture into the wp-content directory while it later on think that the pictures are in the uploads IN the wp-content directory. The result of this is that the picture don’t show when you public your articles, and you would have to copy the pictures you upload manually from wp-content to uploads (inside wp-content). Very anoying.

    I don’t know if this is fixed in newer versons.

  • There’s been no other reports of this as far as I know. Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems.

    Yes, it’s a bug.
    After upgraded to 2.8.4, the images can not be uploaded to correct patch any more.

    After reset “Miscellaneous Settings -> Store uploads in this folder” parameter to default value, everything is ok now.
