Due to security I changed the wp-admin & wp-login.php urls & blacklisted & instabanned ips of bots/hackers if they accessed the old backend urls
and after I changed it the ‘Live traffic’ shows the new admin & login urls for ALL past events. It didn’t detect the change from the old admin/login urls to the new ones.

If I didn’t know any better I would think they were attacking my new urls but in reality they are accessing the old backend admin/login urls & getting blocked.

I used this plugin :WP Hide & Security Enhancer

    please fix.

  • Hey @theallfict,

Changing the login URLs can break WordPress, and other plugin’s functionalities. It’s also worth mentioning that changing the URLs doesn’t help as much as you’d think for the security of the site. Below is our CEO’s thoughts on it.

    https://www.wordfence.com/blog/2017/10/should-you-hide-wordpress-login-page/

With that said, I’ve installed the WP Hide & Security Enhancer plugin and will test it over the next few days. If I can recreate the issue I’ll share it with the developers to make sure it isn’t an issue on our side.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald
