[BUG] Featured image dialog box open a new page

    Hi everyone, I find myself with a rather annoying problem.
    When I go to click on the featured image (or on the link “set a featured image”) inside the WordPress’ page or post builder, it open a new page instead of the dialog box, making it much more complicated to insert the featured image.

    Wordpress is updated to version 5.5.3, I use the Divi theme and there are no plugin conflicts, PHP version is 7.3.

    Anyone have a solution to this CMS bug?

    How about your Divi theme?

    Try switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Twenty, etc.) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    Also, try deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
