Bug: Error 404 with non Google-Fonts

We have tried to set a custom webfont for a cards backend, installed in our child-theme. Because the font is missing in the font family list of FlipBox, we chose the value “Inherit” and made the change in the style-sheet. However, a Google web font-link is always created, which then leads to error 404. The same happens when selecting system fonts such as Arial.
