Bug: Encoding error for foreign characters at end of excerpt

We are using the setting “Finish: Exact (count spaces as well)”.

Whenever the final character is a foreign one, like ?, ? or ?, the character looks like a question mark in the browser. All foreign characters work fine as long as they are not the last character.
