    I think I found a bug.

everything started when the tag [affcoups category=”XYZ”] stopped working after a category and all the categories after that. Although there where coupons in this category it diplsayed the message that there are no coupons

I relized that the problem happens when in wordpress table wptop_term_taxonomy in the records the fields term_taxonomy_id and term_id have for some reason different values. After I fixed this, everything worked fine again. So I suppose that when you want to dispay the fields of a category using category=”XYZ”, you use the wrong field between the 2 above

Sorry for my english, I hope I explained it clearly.

One second matter is when I delete a coupon, I think that not all relevant records in table postmeta are deleted and orphaned records remain. I say that because I use WP-Optimize and each time I delete a coupon I run the WP-Optimize, and in the report mentions that orphaned records found

  • Hey @ckabi,

1.) I’m going to take a look into and see if I can optimize the term issue. (follow my todo)

2.) Actually the plugin uses the standard post types of WordPress. When deleting a coupon (post), the default WordPress processes will be executed. So it’s either a bug of WP itself or you give me more details what metas are still inside the table. But as I said it’s nothing special so it should be deleted by WP itself.

Finally released v1.2 including some fixes regarding the “term_taxonomy_id” issue. Would be great if you update the plugin and let me know if it’s fixed for you.
