I finally reverted to an earlier version and blocked updates, but what should I do in the future?

I apologize for the issue you encountered.

This problem affects some of our long-time users who installed before v3.5.0. After version v3.5.7, we undertook a significant rebranding effort, which led to the deprecation of some features. During the update to version 4.0.0, we overlooked changing a variable name, causing this issue. I am genuinely sorry for the inconvenience.

I have released a quick patch, v4.0.1, which should resolve the problem for you and any other users experiencing the same issue.

I apologize for the oversight. As a one-person managing an extensive plugin, I will be more careful in the future. Please let me know if you encounter any other bugs, and I will fix them as soon as possible. Also, if you have any feature requests, please share them here.

I’m also having the same issue with plugin. Once activated, it produces a critical error on the site. Please advise.

Uhh, I have just downloaded update of Divi Torque Lite. It is bad. Activated plugin blocks all images! If deactivated, I cannot see any element created by Divi Torque.

Easy to solve, I just reverted back to 3.6.6

I am sorry you are still facing the same issue. Could you share some information with me, such as which module you are using and which was the last version you used?

I need to debug the issue. Sharing the error message or providing a screencast will help me identify the problem.

@miropiro, could you also clarify the issue you faced and what kind of image block it was? No other user has reported this kind of issue yet.

@badhonrocks After update I wanted to check one page, which has simple picture module. And I couldnt see any picture. Even the intro page with the slider was without pictures. I do not use any special modules.

We are using several modules – News ticker, logo carousel, flipbox. If the plugin is activated on our website, we are throwing a critical error message.

We are running Divi 4.25.1 on WordPress 6.5.3?

I have reverted back to 4.0.0 and no errors are being detected.

I’ve tested all possible methods but could not recreate the issue you’re currently facing. I’ve released a minor update (v4.0.2) which I hope will resolve the problem.

I apologize for the plugin issue. The problem is related to Post Lists and News Ticker, which I have fixed. Please update WordPress to the latest version (v4.0.3) to resolve the error.

@badhonrocks Seems to work. No problem with images now.
