[bug] Deleted backups after update

    Hi,

    Every time I update the plugin the settings are overwritten and I lost the backups I realized.
    The new settings are:

    Files backup schedule: Daily and retain this many scheduled backups: 1
Database backup schedule: Daily and retain this many scheduled backups: 1

    Despite I have unselected the option “Delete local backup” and it’s not overwritten after the update, the backups are deleted anyway.

    Hi,

    That’s rather odd, as UD doesn’t have any code that fires on de-activation or activation (no code at all – not just code that doesn’t do X or Y, but no code).

    So, if you do this now…

    1) change the “retain” settings to something like 10
    2) Save settings
    3) De-install the plugin
    4) Install it again
    5) Reload the settings page

    … what do the settings now show?

    Hi David,

    I’m sorry, I wrote this too fast without completely test it because I was in the middle of a project so I just wanted to make a kind of note. My fault.
    I’m now again quickly here and cannot fully check it so I’ll come back with more time other day. But you’re right, it was not when updating but when restoring the database even the settings in the restored database for UpdraftPlus are properly setup before backing up.
