There seems to be (again) a bug having updated Ninja Forms to the latest version. A customer informed me that the automatic mail to the sender of the form does not show the according filled in data for the fields anymore. For example having defined “Dear {field:anrede_1653140055234}{field:nachname_1653140690848}”. The first field of the two just stays the field-id. That means that the recipient of the automatic confirmation mail gets something like this:

Dear {field:anrede_1653140055234} Miller or Meyers or whatever

That has to be a bug somehow! I deleted the field names and chose them again. It always stays the same. The first field of the two is transferred as “field: whatever_id”

    Thanks and a good afternoon

I’m sorry to hear that you’re facing a bug with Ninja Forms after updating to the latest version.

I can understand the frustration that is caused by having an automatic email show incorrect data. know how important it is to have personalized and accurate information in those confirmation emails.

Based on your description, it seems like there might be an issue with the merge tags not being interpreted correctly. It’s strange that the first field is displaying as “field:whatever_id” instead of the actual data. You’ve already taken the right steps by deleting the field names and selecting them again, but the problem persists.

To help resolve this, let’s try a couple of troubleshooting steps.

First, clear your browser cache to rule out any cached data interfering with the form rendering. This can sometimes cause unexpected issues.

Additionally, double-check the field IDs and merge tags in the email template to ensure they are correct and properly formatted, like {field:field_id}.

If the problem continues, it would be best to contact the Ninja Forms Customer Success team directly. They have the expertise to dive deeper into the issue and provide you with the necessary guidance to resolve it.

You can reach out to them through their support forum or customer support email. They’ll be able to assist you further and get the confirmation emails working properly again.
