    Jetpack Mechanic ??

Could you tell me more about the browser you are using, as well as the version of WordPress on your site?

Could you also try to clear your site’s cookies, and then refresh the log in page and try to log in again? Here is how you can do that:

    Hi!

I’m having the same problem. So, I disabled Jetpack in order to solve the issue. The problem persists when using Chromium. There are no issues with Chrome or Firefox.

I have the same problem as you. I’m having problems with Chrome and Safari. I want to try it when I go home because I’m out now.

I cleared cache and cookies, that didn’t help. So, I simply disabled jetpack. I am not 100% sure but it seems that I had other problems because of this plugin, too. My scheduled mails didn’t work for weeks. It seemed that there is some kind of problem with cron jobs, but it was not clear what exactly is the problem. As for the server everything seemed to be ok. Now, when I disabled Jetpack, scheduled mails started to work suddenly.

I am having the same issue. Cleared all the cookies and when I try to login, it shows the login page. I disabled only the Jetpack, I can login. I ended up downgrading to 8.1, which does not have this issue. Please fix this issue.

I have the same big problem!!!

@everyone Could you all let me know the following:

    1. What browser is this happening in?
    2. Is your browser up to date?
    3. What happens if you try in an incognito window?
    4. What happens if you try in a different browser?
    5. What version of WordPress do you use on your site?
    6. Is your site set to use HTTP or HTTPS?
    7. Could you try clearing your site’s cookies by following those exact steps, and let me know if it helps?

This information will be really important to help us understand what is happening on your sites.

    Thank you!

    @jeherve

If you have all of the above information, would you be able to fix the cron issue, too?

And the thing is that I cannot follow those exact steps for clearing cookies. Not sure, whether this is because I use a different version of WordPress (the latest) or id it because of Chromium, but the visual is totally different for me. So, I ended up clearing all the cookies on the browser. No really enthusiastic about repeating that as I get signed out of all other sites, too, obviously.

@juris77 No, that problem is most likely entirely different. I would recommend that you reach out via this contact form so we can look into the problem with you.

the visual is totally different for me.

It may be because of Chromium; the screencast I posted was made with Google Chrome.

@jeherve: I’m affected by the same problem as @danyanjp describes. When I enter and submit my login credentials on the wp-admin login page, the page redirects to itself instead of going to the site’s dashboard. If I enter the login information incorrectly, the form shakes as it normally does.

    1. Using either Chrome or Firefox produced the same problem
    2. Both browsers are up to date
    3. Using an incognito window changed nothing
    4. The error occurs regardless of which browser I’m using
    5. The site is running WordPress 5.3.2
    6. The site is set up for HTTPS
    7. Clearing the site cookies changes nothing

I was able to login with no problems after renaming the jetpack plugin directory using the Cpanel File Manager. I tested on multiple sites, with no change between the different sites. This is clearly a bug in the Jetpack 8.1.1 plugin, when will a fix be released?

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

@rhys_visiontech Thanks for the extra details!

I tested on multiple sites, with no change between the different sites.

Does this happen on multiple sites, or on a specific one? If it happens on multiple sites, do they all use one or more similar plugins in addition to Jetpack?

Do you think you could contact us via this form to give us more details about the site where you’re seeing the problem? Knowing more may help us reproduce the issue and understand what is happening.

    Thank you.
